April 26, 2009
When it comes to getting in shape, many people find it difficult to achieve due to lack of proper instruction or lack of will power. Results of working out can also sometimes be slow, which is why many people quit within just a few short weeks.
One of the most popular requests is to know ways to build muscle fast, and that means having the best resources to focus on the right muscles and body areas. One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to build muscle is to imitate professional bodybuilders. Bodybuilders train for long hours, which is not the best method if you are just starting out.
A good place to start increasing strength and building muscle is by weight lifting. By lifting weights you are able to start light and add weight as you become stronger. Push-ups, Dips, Pistols and Pull-ups can also be a good place to start, as long as proper technique is maintained.
To replicate natural motion during exercise it is recommended you use free weights. When we begin to get in shape a lot of use will immediately purchase exercise machines or a home gym. Some machines may have you exercising using unnatural movements, which may hinder results and can even cause injury. Despite what many people think, there are in fact hundreds of exercises that can be performed by just using a barbell, so you do not need to invest heavily in equipment to build muscle and lose fat.
Squats can be one of the most rewarding exercises because they train the whole body (tip courtesy of Sitevines social media directory). By squatting with free weights, with hips coming lower than the knees, muscles across the whole body tense and work.
Another big mistake by people that are eager to get in shape is to overtrain. Pro bodybuilders will workout 5-6 times per week, but it has taken a long time for them to work up to this level of intense exercise. Your muscles grow when you rest. You could begin by working out 3 times per week, but also drink plenty of water, eat whole foods, and get plenty of sleep. The best way to burn stomach fat is by training well but also eating whole foods too.
